Calyx is open-source software distributed under the MIT License. These terms set out the conditions under which Calyx (the “Software”) may be used.
1. License

2. Provision
Section titled “2. Provision”The Software is provided “AS IS”. The copyright holders and providers disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
3. Disclaimer
Section titled “3. Disclaimer”The copyright holders and providers are not liable for any damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, the Software. This applies regardless of legal theory — contract, tort, or otherwise.
4. User responsibility

- installing and configuring the Software on your machines
- safely handling data accessed through the Software
- complying with the terms of any third-party services or tools used alongside the Software (AI agents, language servers, web services, etc.)
5. Third-party software
Section titled “5. Third-party software”Calyx uses several open-source projects, notably libghostty (MIT License). Each dependency is governed by its own copyright holders’ license terms. See the License page for details.
6. Changes to these terms
Section titled “6. Changes to these terms”These terms may be updated without prior notice in response to feature changes or legal requirements. Updated terms take effect when published on this help site.
